LL 4-Step Self-Assessment from Latex and Leather

“Find out who you are and who you want to be!”

Those are the words I wrote for the introduction to our LL 4-Step Self-Assessment.

I also encourage everyone to share their results with their friends and family–it’s a lot of fun!

In that spirit, here’s what my assessment said about me.

Step 1:  Who I Am

My Meyers-Briggs assessment said I have an ENFJ personality.  It’s what they call a “Protagonist.”

From the Introduction portion of the free report:

“Protagonists (ENFJs) feel called to serve a greater purpose in life. Thoughtful and idealistic, these personality types strive to have a positive impact on other people and the world around them. They rarely shy away from an opportunity to do the right thing, even when doing so is far from easy.”

  • Extroverted:  84%
  • Intuitive:  70%
  • Feeling:  82%
  • Judging:  56%
  • Assertive:  65%

It went on to say that my strengths are that I’m:

  • Receptive
  • Reliable
  • Passionate
  • Altruistic
  • Charismatic

My weaknesses are that I’m:

  • Unrealistic
  • Overly idealistic
  • Condescending
  • Intense
  • Overly empathetic

Overall this is a good summary of my personality from what I’ve observed about myself and from what my friends have told me.

I’ve been aware of the condescending, or preachy, side of myself and also that I can be intense–those are two areas that I’ve put a lot of effort into improving.  Wearing latex and leather not only helps remind me to be confident on days that are difficult, but it also is a great reminder to not be preachy and intense.

The assessment then goes on to give me a good sense of how I relate to friends and family, when I’m in a romantic relationship, and in a work environment.

I won’t write all those things here because this post would get really long, but if you’re interested, just ask me!

Step 2:  Who I Want to Be

This one has changed for me over the last two years.  At first, I wanted to be an LLBQ–confident but making it only apparent to my friends and family.  But now I’ve become an LLCM, where I want the whole world to know about my confidence so I can help other women!

I’ve come a long way from who I first was!

Step 3:  How I Want to Express Myself

The two that I self-identify with are LL1CE and LL3UF.

Latex and leather help me maintain my confidence and empowerment.  That’s not to say I don’t feel that way now no matter what I’m wearing.  But similar to jewelry or a tattoo, it reminds me who I am, especially on days that aren’t going well.  I also love that latex and leather make a unique fashion statement!
